We are on call throughout at every stage of the design process to ensure that our clients are kept up to date and always have the opportunity to check our progress, bring new information or ask questions. We are always available on the phone or by email.

ABOUT OFFSITE DESIGN SOLUTIONS

Offsite Design Solutions was founded to offer a design service to frame component manufacturers in the U.S. and Canada while also offering a consultation service, to bring the benefits and insights from the extensive offsite construction knowledge that our team has gained in Europe to home builders and construction projects in the U.S. and Canada.

We have been working alongside roof and floor truss and wall panel fabricators in the U.S. since 2021. We understand that design workload fluctuates and that it can be difficult to justify employing new designers, who are often difficult to find and recruit. This can cause a backlog which can cause frustrated customers who want prices back or components made and delivered.

Offsite Design Solutions is here to offer clients a flexible, cost effective solution to design bottlenecks.

Furthermore can provide a consultation service to give you the benefit of the many years of offsite construction experience which our team has accumulated. If you want to use prefabricated floor cassettes, start using an automated wall framing line or find production efficiencies on site or in your plant, we are here to provide a service.

As we are part of a manufacturer ourselves, we have a unique insight into the requirements of fabricators as well as site teams. Therefore, we will always understand what you need us to do. We can help you problem solve any issues that come up and we are always on call and can be available when you need us.

Our team has a combined 100 years’ experience to provide an accurate, professional service. We are specialists in designing floor and roof trusses, prefabricated wall panels but we can also design ‘closed’ wall panels and floor cassettes.

Stephen runs our Design Department. He has 20 years working in the construction industry , focusing on timber frame in Ireland, and truss and architectural design and design team leadership.

Stephen has a QQI Level 6 in Project Management and a Diploma in Construction Project Management.

MIKE ESPLEY

ESTIMATOR

Mike has over 20 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor and Estimator in the construction industry in the UK, US and Australia, specializing in offsite and modular house and component building practices.

Mike has an Msc in Construction Surveying.

WHAT SERVICES CAN WE OFFER?

Offsite Design Solutions can provide the following frame component design services for your projects:

Designs to prepare bids

If you need help to produce designs to prepare a quote for a client who needs a price quickly, we can help. As well as fast, accurate designs, we can use your rates library to produce a quote or cost breakout.

Production Designs & Drawings

If you have an automated line or manufacture by hand on tables in your plant, we can produce designs that are easy for your plant to use. We can supply production drawings that can be printed and sent straight to your operatives in the plant, or we can make files to upload to your machines for automated production lines. We will work with you on any method that you use.

Site materials Lists

If you don’t use prefabricated wall panels, using our design software, we can produce materials lists to produce materials packs for your site teams to use. These include lumber cutting lists and individual wall panel drawings so that you can pre-cut all the lumber needed to build the frame on site which will allow you to minimize waste and maximize speed.
